Roee Remer

Advocate Roee Remer is a partner in the Firm’s Municipal Taxation Department.

Adv. Remer has extensive expertise and experience in the field of local authority law – municipal law, planning and construction, municipal taxation (municipal property tax [Arnona], development fees and charges, betterment levies, garbage removal fees), real estate, contracts, tenders, and providing ongoing legal advice on all aspects of administrative-municipal law.

Roee has wide experience in administrative, civil and criminal litigation and represents the Firm’s clients in all legal and/or quasi-judicial instances (appeal committees for planning and construction, improvements, Arnona) in complex litigation cases, in the High Courts and in administrative petitions, as well as in the context of mediation and arbitration procedures. He has great expertise in managing negotiations with local authorities, water and sewage corporations and local committees for planning and construction.

Roee has been credited with many significant achievements in the field of municipalities, which have resulted, inter alia, to the cancellation of financial charges and/or refunds for assesses who have overpaid local authorities/water and sewerage corporations, in a cumulative amount of hundreds of millions of shekels.

Roee’s clients include leading entities from the public sector as well as private entities (including public and private companies from the field of real estate, hotels, hi-tech, commerce, retail, the defense industries, medicine, promoters, private clients, etc).

Roee previously served, under a letter of authorization from the Attorney General, as a legal advisor and as a prosecutor for a regional planning and construction committee and for a local planning and construction committee. He currently serves as a criminal defense attorney in planning and construction/business licensing cases.
