What are the authorities doing about hazardous buildings in Israel?
According to surveys varied out by the Israel Contractors Association in 2017, there are approximately 80,000 buildings housing 300,000 apartments that were built before the 1950s and require restoration. Due to wear and a lack of adequate maintenance over the years, these buildings are at risk of collapse and represent a real risk to the lives of the their occupants.
