Michal Eliaz

Michal Eliaz is an Associate in the firm’s Municipal Taxation department.

She is a lawyer and economist in this field since 2008.

Michal specializes in providing legal and financial consultation to businesses which help them to achieve substantial savings on their tax liabilities. She is an experienced litigator in all legal forums, in negotiations and in drafting agreements.

Prior to joining Firon, Michal was engaged for a number of years in advising local authorities on matters relating to municipal taxation and how to increase their billing base. Over the years, Michal has dealt with the legal aspects of a wide variety of real estate properties.

Now, as an employee at Firon, she is using the knowledge she has acquired on both sides of the fence to benefit her clients by way of the substantial savings that businesses can achieve.

Michal previously served as an external legal advisor to the Municipal Tax Appeal Committee (which is a quasi-judicial body on a par with the Magistrates Court).

The legal team of the Municipal Taxation Department provides professional support to clients in legal and economic matters as well as project financing, while it also deals with all aspects of the field in various courts, including the audit of municipal debts in relation to municipal taxation, development fees, betterment levies or levies. The team manages municipal taxation and levy cases worth hundreds of millions of NIS each year.
